Salon Policies

CANCELLATION POLICY

I value your business and ask you respect my business' scheduling policies. I want to make sure my schedule is accurate for when you and others want to book. I ask that you please provide at least 24-hours notice if you will be unable to make an appointment. This is to ensure that there is enough time for other clients to fill that valuable time slot.  If you do not cancel or reschedule within the designated time above, then a rebooking fee will be required to move forward with the appointment.

No Call/No Show Policy

I understand unplanned events happen, however these times slots are valuable.  In the event of a no call/no show for your appointment there will be a fee in order to rebook.  The fee is payment for the missed appointment and will not be applied to the future appointment.  Unfortunately, after two no call/no show incidents I will be unable to book any future appointment with you.

Thank you for understanding that my time is valuable as is yours.

Late/Early Arrivals

I take pride in running on time and keeping to a schedule.  If you are running late, please send a text message.  In the event you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be rescheduled & you will be charged either a flat fee or 50% of your appointment depending on how much time we have blocked off for you.  Please keep in mind that I have many appointments through out the day & when you are late you are taking up someone else's time & potentially affecting the times of several other clients.

Please DO NOT show up for your appointment more than 15 minutes early. I maintain a strict schedule that relies on clients adhering to their given time slots. Showing up early for a service will not lead to your service being finished earlier.

Children in the Salon

I love being a part of special moments by providing services for occasions such as first haircuts, school photos, birthdays, graduations, and many more of life’s significant events. Children are always welcome for appointments! However, the salon does not provide child care services. They are welcome to wait in the reception area while you are receiving your service as long as they are not being disruptive to other clients or acting in an unsafe way.  Due to limited seating in the reception area, extra seating for guests/children isn’t guaranteed.

Come to appointment with clean dry hair

Let’s kill the myth that dirty hair is better. Fresh hair will color better with more even results, better gray coverage and increased longevity. THIS IS NOT TRUE.

What is "Dirty Hair"? - hair that hasn't been washed in over 2-3 days max, dry shampoo and other product build up, sweat, and other natural scalp oils.

"Dirty" hair is only good if you are going to be doing a global lightening with lightener (platinum/bleach touch up). The natural oils will help protect the scalp from being agitated from the lightener.

Its makes it challenging for highlight and balayage touch ups.  The hair with clump together making it difficult to pick out the existing blonde that needs to be brought closer to the scalp.

Its ideal is to wash your hair a day or two before your appointment.

Why is there a myth about coloring on dirty hair?  if you wash your hair the day of a coloring appointment you can cause abrasions on your scalp when scrubbing the shampoo in.  If there are abrasions the chemicals in the hair color on the scalp will cause irritation like a burning sensation.  While hair products have come along way this "myth" is still semi true.  Thats why its best to wash your hair with your finger pads and not your nails.  Massage the products in.
